The challenge of relocating 1,200 users, along with their computers and documentation, to a new building represented a significant challenge. The operation required all computers to be operational the Monday following the move, with all boxes transported and the environment organized.
To face this challenge, we developed a meticulous strategy. Twelve trucks were mobilized to transport the necessary computers, boxes, and furniture. The activities were scheduled to occur during a holiday, starting on Thursday evening and ending on Sunday at 10 PM.
To ensure the schedule was met, two teams worked simultaneously in almost uninterrupted shifts. One team handled transportation from 6 PM to 5 AM, while the other team managed the remaining activities from 8 AM to 6 PM.
The result was a smooth and successful relocation. All 1,200 users were transferred to the new building by the stipulated deadline. Computers were connected and operational as planned the following Monday, with all boxes moved and the environment organized to resume activities.
